Following last year’s successful series of master-classes jointly presented by Premiere Performances of Hong Kong (PPHK) and the Lin Yao Ji Music Foundation of China (LYJ Music Foundation) in the Hong Kong International Chamber Music Festival 2012, we are proud to host in conjunction with PPHK its second series of violin master-classes, featuring world-renowned violinist Cho-Liang Lin and Violin Professor of the Juilliard School, Earl Carlyss.

ELIGIBILITY
Applications are open to all advanced players of performance diploma level, aged 25 years old or under by 31 December 2012. Priority will be given to applicants residing or studying in Hong Kong.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS
- Incomplete applications may be disqualified.
- Successful applicants will be allocated to one of the two master-classes by the organizers in consultation with the Instructors.
- If a successful applicant is unable to attend the allocated session, barring exceptional circumstances he or she will forfeit the opportunity to participate in the master-class and another applicant will be chosen to take his/her place.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- The Application should be fully completed with information typed in, or with legible handwriting and scanned for e-mail submission.
- All applicants are required to submit a Music CV and audio recordings.
- All materials must be submitted electronically and sent to Masterclasses@linyaoji.com by 11:59pm Hong Kong Time on 7 December 2012.

PIECES PLAYED IN THE MASTER-CLASS
The pieces played in master-class can be different from the one recorded in the audition applications. Once selected, applicants must inform the Foundation via email of the pieces they plan to play during the master-class.

Tickets are free for all members of the public. Those who wish to observe the master-classes should visit PPHK's website here to register for tickets.
