The Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of the New World Scholarship for Summer Studies in Music, which is supported by the New World Group Charity Foundation and forms part of this Scholarship Program. Ziyu Shen, a Shanghai-born violist who has won critical acclaim in China and the rest of the world at the age of 16, has been selected to study at the prestigious Verbier Festival Academy in Switzerland during Summer 2014.
“The two foundations share the same vision of supporting and grooming local young people to unleash their full potentials. With the establishment of the New World Scholarship for Summer Studies in Music, I hope we can contribute to nurturing more musical talents for Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau,” says Mr. Adrian Cheng, Chairman of New World Group Charity Foundation, who is also a Director of the Foundation.
“The Lin Yao Ji Music Foundation of China is delighted to work together with New World Group Charity Foundation on this initiative. This marks a significant step forward in achieving its core mission – to identify and nurture the musical talents of tomorrow,” said Ms. Winnie Tam, Vice-Chairman of the Foundation.
