On 22 October 2011, LYJMFC proudly presented the Lin Yao Ji Outstanding Performance Prize to Korean young violinist Kim Bomsori in recognition of her outstanding performance in The Third China International Violin Competition held in the town of Qingdao, Shandong, China. Miss Bomsori went on to win the first prize in the competition, adjudicated by a distinguished panel of international jurors.
Wei Lin, Chairman of LYJMFC, was in Qingdao throughout the competition to select the winner of the special prize in her late father's name, and was interviewed by the press about the work of the Foundation.
